Job summary/Role description

The project relates to the petrochemical development of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex (AGCC). AGCC is the downstream expansion of the Amur Gas Processing Plant (AGPP), a package of which Maire Tecnimont Group is currently executing in Svobodny city, located in the Amur region in the Far East of the Russian Federation. The project entails the implementation of several large-scale polyolefin units and is going to be one the largest petrochemical facilities in the world and will be fed with products associated to natural gas of the AGPP project.
Project Procurement Coordinator is a leader of the project procurement team of the project being responsible for coordination of the overall project procurement activities in compliance with contractual requirements in terms of costs, time and quality of the supplies.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare for its area of responsibility and to collaborate to the definition with the Proposal Manager (transfer meeting), Project Manager, Control Coordinator, Construction Manager and Project Engineer Manager, the Project Execution Plan of the project and assure its application during the entire project life to reach the proposed target;
  • Cooperate in the preparation of the Project Vendor List considering Project requirements;
  • Site coordination for material purchasing–– urgent material requested by construction;
  • Coordinate the procurement activities, from the issue of Material requisitions up to the delivery of materials at site and to ensure the Vendors’ assistance at site during construction and commissioning activities;
  • Control compliance of procurement activities with project schedule and budget allocation;
  • Ensure the overall project procurement coordination among the operational centres (other companies of the group, sub-contractors, partners, site) involved in the procurement activities of the project;
  • Coordinate the issue of project procurement reporting towards Purchasing Management Team and the Client;
  • Support purchasing department in the application of liquidated damages to Vendors;
  • Manage the application of back-charges to Vendors in coordination with Purchasing and Administration Department;
  • Manage, in coordination with Administration department the expiring of technical/performance warranties;
  • Provide feedback to the Head of Department concerning problems arising from application of standard methods and work instruction to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications
  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent
  • Significant experience in industrial construction of Large/XL petrochemical plants;
  • Similar role covered at least in last three projects, of comparable size;
  • Ten (10) years relevant field experience;
  • Experience working on Contractor side.

  • Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to details;
  • SAP and/or other CRM systems
  • Self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
