Job Summary/Role description

Located in LUKOIL Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery in Kstovo, Russia, the project concerns the EPC for the utilities, infrastructures and off-sites facilities of a greenfield plant for a new:

• Gas Fractionation Unit (GFU)
• Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU)
• Hydrotreater Unit (HDT)
• Hydrogen Unit (HPU/ROG PSA)

Deputy Field Engineering Manager, FIE, is responsible for multidisciplinary engineering and further critical activities in accordance with a budget and project schedule.

Duties and responsibilities

• Adopt technical variants (if necessary) during construction in close coordination with the Headquarters, in compliance with the contractual technical requirements;
• Ensure overall technical coordination between the various engineering centres of the project (especially Headquarters and construction site, but also other group companies, sub-contractors and partners involved in the project);
• Manage all design activities on the construction site;
• Control and to manage design changes on site in order to minimize impacts on project timing and costs;
• Provide feedback to the Company Management regarding problems arising with the application of standard work procedures and instructions in order to improve work effectiveness.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

• University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent;
• PM certification (PMI, IPMA etc.) is desirable.

Experience

• Experience of working in Design institutes and EPC companies on large-scale projects in the oil&gas industry;
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, specifications, and drawings;
• Good understanding of project planning, budgeting and forecasting;
• Similar role covered at least in last three projects, of comparable size;
• Five (5) years of relevant field experience;
• Experience working on the Contractor side.

• Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
